Grateful Dead music in general make an amazing soundtrack for any run. I run anywhere from 20-30 miles a week and listen to the Grateful Dead exclusively for every mile. I use this time to give a serious listen to whatever show I'm listening to and the music usually dictates the pace whether I knowingly do it or not.

From personal experience, the Europe 72 discs provide a perfect running companion for a 5-6 mile run.

Especially Stella Blue. A beautiful song in the right setting but not exactly a marathoners anthem.Sorry for the sarcasim but I don't see running to the Greatful Dead as a common past time.About Stella Blue, they brought it out in mid set at the DAY ON THE GREEN show opening for the WHO . I do like the song inside at a theater not in the broiling sun whilting away. As I've said before the Dead were at best mediocre that day w/ the Who playing rings around them.I could see running to GOING MOBILE......LW
